So if the water is bad in New Orleans, why aren't the buisness shut down?

Isn't that a huge sanitation issue? Should everything on that side be grounded to a dead halt and the water turned off for safety sake?

The I was just on the Eastbank and they are still surving drinks. Now i know they ain't boiling fountain drink water to mix in. Then there are numerous other things like basic hand washing. I mean it's a huge deal right? Shouldn't it be shut down, the resident can boil the water but the business that serve food gotta close.

They are handing out bottled water like candy over here at The Roosevelt. I don't know where the ice in my drinks is coming from though.

The restaurant I went to last night was using can drinks and 2-liters, and they put bottled water to use to wash hands in the bathrooms.

It isn't hard to get by in a boil advisory and many places have experience with them. It is a pain in the arse but you get bottled water and canned drinks, hand sanitizer, and boil water to wash dishes and cook.

We distributed a ton of water at every sink for handwashing and put up flyers all over the hospital, yesterday.

Wash your hands then use sanitizer after.

Boil water.

Sell bottled water and canned soda.

It ain't rocket science.

The dishwashers have sanitation that kills all bacteria anyway. Auto-chlor knows what they are doing

What about hospitals?

Also, is anyone actually following the boil order? I am about to hit shower number three since it went into effect.

Also, why does everyone think there are amoebas in the water?

Because it's not a serious issue. It was a CYA precaution
