The OT is the only place I have seen people wear not shopping at wal mart as a badge of honor.

If every other place were twice the cost or more that would be one thing. But at other stores where you can use coupons and get BOGOs and specials, the savings really isn't significant enough to justify the frustration of dealing with PoW.

So you go ahead and pretend like you are getting the steals of the century, dude. Saving shaming is the new spending shaming.

This is pretty much a universal thing.

Honestly, this is the only place where I find people who don't understand why people avoid Wal-Mart like the plague.

Don't bitch. I volunteer to take an elderly person there once a month and sit near the front entrance for an hour waiting on them. It's great when 85 year olds sit next to you and strike up a random conversation.

You've got to be an uppity bitch to:

A) Not know where to find basil on your own
B) Expect the employees at Wal-Mart to know where all of their thousands of items are, particularly something as obscure as basil
C) Feel the need to list it as one of the reasons you hate Wal-Mart

You should be thankful that a store that sells basil and light bulbs even exists.

It's such a tired old device to bitch about common activities, something as stupid and nitpicky as where people get their food, as if it really elevates them from the ranks of the wretched unwashed. Nobody's buying it, folks.

Want to make yourself come across as higher class than you really are? Try rising above your petty distaste for people less fortunate than you aspire / pretend to be.

Disgusting people. Here's to another two years or more avoiding that den of despair.

Oh my God, are you okay? You're so fricking brave and heroic.

Get bent, you uppity piece of shite. Walmart is just fine for most things (I can understand arguments for things like produce), but I love how fricking stuck up people get about going there as if they're better than going to the fricking store.

I go to WM when I need things and take zero shame in that. At least now I'll have to see one less arrogant douchebag there for the next two years.

I agree. The Walmart in my hometown is nice, clean, and the staff are generally helpful and know what they're doing. I view Walmart as being little different from Win Dixie, Publics, Target, or other similar chain stores. Do I get everything I need from there? No. A lot of their products are great but others are not. No one store is perfect in every regard.

For all these people looking down their nose at Walmart the only thing I can guess is they live in a generally trashy/shitty part of the world and thus the Walmart close to them is staffed by generally shitty, nasty people. Maybe if they were to ever go into a nice Walmart store then they'd see how stupid they look to the rest of us with all this snobbish anti-Walmart talk.
