That should go over very well. The OP should take that advice.

This is almost a no win situation but I suggest you find a FUN exercise, tennis, racquetball, swimming, biking etc

Sell it as spending quality time together (it will be)

Withhold the D from her for a while. When she asks "what's wrong, aren't you attracted to me?", say "I'm not into fat girls".

You're welcome

get her to work out with you at the house...say you want to do something with her......make it about spending time together...then get her arse doing planks and wall sits, crunches, fire hydrants, and burpees....all in the name of quality time..

profit?

This thread is awesome. I'm actually going through the same thing. I got her to join a gym with me and we have been working out together.

The problem with my girl is that she has a terrible diet and I let her know that regularly. I told her yesterday that if she was superman healthy food would be her kryptonite.

I also dropped this one yesterday.

"I'm giving up soda for lint will you do it with me so we can keep each other accountable?"

She agreed so we will see how it works.

My next step is to get her on the "my fitness pal" app so she can see exactly how many calories she eats a day.

Sounds like she is full of excuses.

And cake.

Make "Big'un" your new pet name for her. It is definitely a subtle way to get your message across. And she'll appreciate you for being all cutesy.

Bitches love cutesy.

I called Mrs Cove Big'Un both times she was pregnant. She lost baby weight with the quickness.

If her mom is a big lady, don't waste your time. That genetic train is rolling on down the tracks.

Not true. Just means she will have to always be conscious of her diet and activity level.

I have a lot of female relatives that are overweight(mother included). I use it as a motivator to NOT end up like them.

If you have to do all of that, you're fighting a losing battle. She has to want to do it for herself. Your efforts will eventually be view as manipulation and she'll drop the "this is who I am, quit trying to control me" line.

My wife gets angry at herself if she gains five pounds and promptly addresses it. I think it's ridiculous and never encourage it, but she is self motivated. I've had girlfriends who did what yours does and they never improved in the long run.
