Also don’t be obtuse. The American government has access to weapons you and I probably can’t even fathom so to compare the civil war of the past to a civil war today is ludicrous. That is all.

I have a 9mm because I need something light weight. If they try to make them illegal to have I am filing a disability discrimination lawsuit saying they are taking away my ability to defend myself.

Am I really? Tell me how a bunch of farmers with muskets taking on the most powerful military in the world armed with muskets, cannon, and warships at the time and then winning shows me to be a fool.

Let me tell you something alexahet…. A people who refuse to be ruled will NOT be ruled. We are only ruled because of the consent of the governed. If 300 million human beings, or even a third of that refuse to be ruled, there’s absolutely nothing that the strongest military complex in the world can do about that but perhaps nuke everything. You have to remember that this also includes those within the military itself.

Will never use on citizenry.

You really need some history, civics and firearms lessons. You're shooting blind here.

Rog can't admit the Republicans in DC don't give a rip if the Left actually comes after and is successful in throttling gun caliber. They'll be complicit simply because the playbook demands there be a clear dividing line with red meat issues. And this is about as red meat as it will get.

Yep, the US military doesn't exactly have a stellar track record since WWII. Its not because of the availability of weapons.

The cops in Uvalde showed us that even if you’re armed, you can still act like a pussy arse bitch despite claiming to be otherwise. I bet half the “baws” on this board claiming to need their guns to protect themselves and their loved ones from the government would immediately turn into a puddle of piss if actually faced with the reality. But sure, let’s keep this hypothetical jerkfest going.

Tell that to a bunch of goat farmers in sandals. All it cost them was patience, AKs and some homemade IEDs to send that big bad government running. But not before costing them trillions of dollars, thousands of lives, and two decades

What it showed is how cops rarely deviate from breaking rank. Uvalde police and SO hassled citizenry more than they paid attention to the shooter.

They had nothing to lose. Most people on this board would not survive a week in their conditions, myself fricking included.

It took an off-duty Border Patrol agent (mid haircut) that grabbed a shotgun from his barber to take out the shooter.

If, in fact, we've gotten to where we can't reasonably depend on the government to protect us from harm, why would we NOW start restricting the ways in which we can protect ourselves?

The veteran ranks of the police have been decimated over the last few years due to woke politics leaving departments desperate to hire any warm body that will sign up. Progressive DAs have "reformed" the justice system to the point that criminals have no fear of repercussions for their lawlessness. The southern border is a veritable sieve right now for criminals of every persuasion to come and go as they please.

Are we really arguing that now is the time to restrict the manner in which the general public can defend themselves and their families?
