It actually has backed off a bit on accumulations through 11z (the end of the 17z run). 18z is one of the long runs.

Not for me.
Gloomy and cold.

What that means, ice or no ice?

It depends. Would you trust TDsngumbo for your weather needs if your life depended on it?

That means just a cold rain south of I-10. No ice

You can see the moisture on Houston and LC radar. It’s moving NE.

Until the dry cold air pushes it offshore right before the freezing line gets there. If anybody gets ice it’ll be the south LA coast. Which is wild.

All the moisture is mostly offshore already except for that small line around Houston.

These streamers are what this forecast hinges on. If they move in and can produce precip, the temps could be low enough to cause issues.

At this point, going by the HRRR, temps rebound quick enough that most areas are above freezing tomorrow when that will be happening. It is a timing issue right now. The bulk of the precip is coming through just prior to temps dropping below freezing. However, it is just a degree or two, so it can literally by something or nothing at all.

More of a just watch and see game. This was never a slam dunk setup. It is dependent entirely on the Mesoscale.

It’s weather, a lifelong hobby of mine, baw. We’re not discussing ways to regrow hair. I cede to the more keratin-gifted individuals for that.
