We've got all college prep classes needed as well as the option for dual enrollment college classes. My son will graduate with 15 college credits.

What did AHS offer that VC didn't and what year did you graduate from or attend VC?? I'm genuinely curious. I'd be curious also as to if I had kids there at the time as you .. Admin has changed for the better .. Much better .. Over the years.

I said the only reason it's good is because of small classes. But it sucks if you compare it to Erath. BTW how did that jacoby Davis lawsuit work out for yall?

Went to VC for 1 year, graduated ahs 2005.

VC didn't have trig, alg.3 etc when I went.

South Youngsville has tons of new developments seemingly in the middle of nowhere. But yet there is a Rouses, huge park, and quick access to Highway 90 and Ambassador Caffery. All within 5 minutes

You graduated prior to my first son. And admin has drastically changed and trig has always been offered as apart of advanced math. Calc and physics are offered AND they have a rotating eighth hour so they'll graduate with 32 credits and a variety of classes to make them well rounded students.

And as far as what happened with that student/athlete, he had not one but two children and the pregnancies overlapped. I am not privy to the details of the expulsion just as others shouldn't be privy to the info had it been my child.

I am not from here but am transplanted for nearly 20 years but I will NEVER get the hate that Erath seems to have for VC. My children have some very good friends that attend public schools including Erath.

I know speaking for myself, I consider my kids no better than anyone else, Erath included but they're no better than mine either.

Grand Coteau is north of Lafayette but still a good split for Marksville and Morgan City. Your kids would need to go to private school but it is quiet, less traffic and lower costs all around. The area is rural and very nice.

It's all good, to be honest all my close friends are VC grads(i love giving them shite about it too)not 1 from ahs. It is a close nit school and I'm sure your kids will do well.

Small towns also, we all hate each others Alma Mata.

Oldest grad in 2010 and is set to graduate from LSU grad school with a masters in engineering in August.

Son number two is graduating in May and planning on engineering as well. Did very very well on the ACT.

Dtr is a freshman and well, is doing great and is super involved.

It is a nice close knit community. That doesn't mean I wouldn't change some things but overall we're pleased.

Have any siblings younger than you?

You should consider Carencro. Just north of Lafayette, close to the interstate, prices are great and growth is heading in that direction.

NuNu's is the best grocery store ever. Everyone's happy in that place.

If you're raising a family, Youngsville is great. That's why I'm here. It's pretty cookie cutter and seems boring, but it's an easygoing nice place to live. People are great.

I graduated from there as well so I am sure we know each other irl. So about the football, they can barely get enough kids to make a team. Especially now that Centerville has a football program. All those kids that came to Hanson just for that will just go to centerville. Hanson isn't that special academically, and their athletic department is crap. All they have is baseball, and softball that are noteworthy.

Milton ain't too bad a spot. Plenty of land out there if you want to build. With it being located in between Maurice and Youngsville, you are close to Johnston St. and Verot School Rd., respectively.

$140 per sq ft seems to be the norm in youngsville instead of the $175-200 talked about earlier.
