That's literally what the interstate is for (only for an emergency landing though)

Pics. Somebody gotta be out there. How do you do this with 18 wheelers and shite going along?

Without a pic I'm wondering if he opted for the median if it was feasible.

That's just a myth. The interstate was built to quickly ship war goods across the country. Which became shipping basic goods.

Myth
For every 6 miles, one mile has to be sraight.
For the military, but can be used in case of an emergency.

Did you hear there are gang members driving around with their lights off and if you flash them they will turn around and follow you and kill you as part of their initiation? It's TRUE!!!!!

I repeat, myth.
quote:
One in five miles of the Interstate System is straight so airplanes can land in emergencies.
This myth is widespread on the Internet and in reference sources, but has no basis in law, regulation, design manual—or fact. Airplanes occasionally land on Interstates when no alternative is available in an emergency, not because the Interstates are designed for that purpose.

Well, not sure if those are his tracks in the grass, but he definitely is in the median now.

Well, it appears that this thread has sufficiently handed heypaul's arse to him.

He's probably being packed in a bath tub full of ice as we speak while his kidney is being shopped on the black market.

Supposedly that's only a small part as well. The main focus was civilian use and benefits according to the links posted in this thread, although the military benefits helped.

Nah
If you ever need to make an emergency landing, feel free to use the interstate, if it's your only option.
