David Shapiro. I suspect a couple of other people on here knew him.

Drummer of Devil Wears Prada likely in the plane too, or was at least posting pics from the plane overnight.

The Citation II holds 5000 lbs of fuel. It burns about 1200 lbs the first hour and around 1000 after that if I remember. So it can't fly 7 hrs.

Citation IIs were certified to be flown single pilot with a waiver. I'm curious whether this aircraft was being flown single pilot. A tired, single pilot flying an approach down to minimums is a good recipe for disaster.

don’t think that little thing can stay in the air that long but it shouldn’t take 7 hours to go from Kansas to California?

I used to fly one years ago. I think you could get 3.5 hrs out of that slow dog.

Here is the ATC if anyone wants to listen.

Jesus I hope I’m never on a plane with a pilot who talks and sounds like this guy did.

Yeah, me neither.

Juan does a great breakdown, but Captain Steve is really good too. This one's a good watch.

Yep, another aviation accident. Anyone who denies the fact that these have been more frequent is delusional. The question is, what is going on?
