Slip and Falls are actually extremely difficult in the State of Louisiana, believe it or not. Law is heavily in favor of the business owner. A lot of lawyers will advertise that they take them but in reality, don't take them or are extremely selective.
Dumbing it down a bit, you have to prove, among other things, that the property owner KNEW or should have known of a dangerous condition. That is extremely difficult.
For instance, if a customer spilled something 5 minutes before you fell, and did not tell the workers or give them sufficient time to clean it up, they don't owe you shite.
