Any reviews for sleep number mattresses? What mattress is OT approved?
In before:
1. Your mom’s
2. Your Dad’s (for the A&M folks)
3. Your sister’s (multi-joke opportunity because I’m from Alabama)
4. Your cousin’s (see above)
5. Your daughter’s
6. Your son’s (again for the A&M folks)

It's ok if you want to spend several thousand on an air mattress.

I have the P5 in a split king with an adjustable frame. It’s the best sleep I’ve ever had. When we bought it, I was having intermittent back pain first thing in the morning. It immediately went away once we got our sleep number bed.
A few weeks ago, I put down a pallet of sod in the yard. Had some back soreness for a few days. I adjusted my sleep number down and my back pain has gone away.
I love the adjustable frame, Flexfit 2. When you go in the store, they’ll have you lay on the mattress and put the bed in Zero G mode. It sold us.

Thank you for the reply. I am debating between the performance and innovation.

I have one and it’s done wonders for my back. But the mattress I had before was like 20 years old so the bar wasn’t set very high.
To me the biggest benefit was being able to experiment with the firmness over a period of time to find what I like. If I had just tried lying down on a few different mattresses at a store I probably would have wound up buying something much softer than the setting I currently use.
That said, I think high quality spring mattresses are underrated.

I’ve had one for almost 10 years, it still feels brand new. I will never own anything else.
