It typically would be a very short shoot and they bring a robe or overcoat that can be jumped back into, not far from a warm house or vehicle, and plan ahead so as to not fiddle around wasting time. They are human and some talk, laugh or complain more than others at any photo shoot. I've seen some in bikinis fall into the snow to make snow angels, and do Polar Bear club cannonballs into a freezing swimming pool. I also saw one drop and swap a string bikini for a different bikini in winter.

Not exactly "airbrushing", but I see why you would think so because the entire image also has considerable evidence of editing. I would suspect it was actually taken with a somewhat shitty cell phone and the resulting edit was an attempt to improve sharpness etc.
