Because OxyContin is too expensive these days.

Paying dues is worth it when you have huge elaborate parties in a mansion all thru college and are guaranteed a huge business network after graduating. Don't get how people don't understand the concept of paying dues to fund grandiose events, get better student seats at football games, and leave college with a network of incredibly successful people. But yeah, keep using the paying for friends argument, it's just as fricked out and retarded as it's ever been.
tis a fun way to experience years 18-22/23, for sure

I don't think "good idea" is the right phrase.

I was a Sigma Chi and just heard about this and heard about the chapter at FSU being kicked of campus.
The Sigma Chi's at FSU mother fricked their house when they found out they were getting kicked off. They poured quickcret down the toilets and fricked the house's structure...

Hell, did the kid od'ing in the house even make the paper?
It was at an off campus location. Still, it is amazing that it did not make the news.

7 years of college down the drain . . . I should have joined the frickin' Peace Corps.

Heroin is actually relatively safe. It's the alcohol that kills you. Heroin overdoses, in and of themselves, are very rare.

Wow, money was definitely involved there then.
Those kind of incidents are front page stories on a college campus
ETA: maybe the lurkers from the Reveille will break the story

Yeah, heroin is a safe drug.
Was it a Pledge and this was a hazing incident where they were forced to OD on Heroin?

Not really. It's certainly not regularly happening but kids ODIng isn't anything new. If it happens late at night on Friday it's pretty easy to get lost in the news cycle.
most of the alums wanted to clean house so I doubt they were pulling strings to keeps this under wraps.

A member of LSU greek life dying from an overdose is certainly extremely rare and something that makes the news 100/100 times

quote:i honestly get it, but I made plenty of network connections and friends in college and went to several parties without paying $15,000. I dogg on frats just to get under people's skin, but it really isn't a bad idea. My family did it and it helped them job-wise.

The main thing in my opinion is making tons of friends freshman year. It took me a little longer to grow close friendships in college but thats normal.
