SIAP: Jim Jones (Rappuh) Claims Being A Rapper Is ‘Harder Than Fighting A War In Iraq’

Ever since the untimely passing of rising star Pop Smoke, it seems there has been some discourse across social media about the dangers that come with being a rapper and its lifestyle. Several artists including Blueface, 2 Chains and Waka Flocka have contributed to that conversation but it was the comments of veteran rapper Jim Jones that had people talking.
Vet calls him out with stats....
His response:
quote:
Here are facts every n***a I grew up wit is either dead or in jail so u wanna compare death tolls it won’t add u went to army n met n****s U never knew or grew up wit I grew up wit all these n****s all my life so it hit different u wanna continue this debate Yal was shootin at kids n innocent by standers in (the) midst of shootin at (the) enemy we was kids shootin at kids n tht mentality spilt over to success. Remember u knew who ur enemies were we don’t and everybody knows who we are because of our notoriety so how u protect urself from enemies u can’t see. We all were (the) same uniform everyone is drippy. But y’all had American uniforms on and the enemy had (their) uniform on. You had (the) choice of goin to war we didn’t we was at war when we was born. Let (the) church say.”

Everyone knows the ghetto is more dangerous than the middle east.

Might be right... deaths in our inner cities at the hands of the rap support is higher than in war zones...

Try being in an extreme metal band.

Jim Jones is a fricking idiot that can’t form a complete sentence nor rap a hit record.

Tbh I understand Jim's point slightly. For kids growing up in the hood, it is rough as shite. They don't have a single positive role model usually. All of their older siblings/cousins/uncles are all gangbanging. The school is shitty and most of the teachers dont wanna be there. Kids who have grown up in that type of environment have likely seen a number of dead bodies before the age of 13.
I dont wish for any child to grow up in that type of environment. I even believe that one can gain a form of PTSD simply from growing in a shitty environment.
Here is wgere Jim lost me, he said rappers, not just kids growing up in the hood. Not all rappers arw multimillionaires, I understand that. But I guarantee they at least make enough money to leave their current environment. Yes, being a high profile flashy person is dangerous in an environment of people who dont have shite. So why hang out there?
The goal is supposed to be to move out the hood. Yet many rappers like to hang out in their hood all the time just to show how hard they are, to keep street cred, etc. I have no sympathy for that.

He'll never be as popular as the real Jim Jones.

It's not being a rapper that is dangerous, it's being a thug in the hood - which most rappers are. And I really don't give a rat's arse when they decide to kill each other off.
