Should there be a mandatory space between roads & marketing signs?

Im sure there's some rules but not enough. Im sick of pulling up to stop signs and not being able to see if someone's coming because some jackass realtor or politician put up a massive sign obstructing view of the road. This is even worse in downtown areas where a car will be parked damn near hanging over into your lane and you cant see shite and just have to pray and go.
