Don't ever compare Rummel to that shithole and surrounding area.

indicates that his kids go to Haynes Academy

Sorry, wrong. I mentioned elementary schools. Haynes and PFT are 6-12.

Haynes from a decade ago is very different from now. Everyone now tests in except from Metairie Academy and Airline Park, where you already tested to get in. I know for those two elementary schools you don’t even get waitlisted if under 85th percentile. Usually 92 or so is the cut.

So Haynes does have the best testing metrics in the state, but I don’t think they are as well rounded as schools like Jesuit, HC, etc. I would rather my kids have more life skills from a school with scores just under Haynes.

The point was just that there is a very good public high school in Metairie, not just EJ and Bonnabel.

Back to the topic:

Looks like the answer is Metairie should stay as is because is the favorite of Jefferson Parish, so it doesn’t gain any advantages.

Incorporated Gretna is just fine. Real estates development, especially between the expressway and river, is blowing up. Safety isn’t a problem at all. Takes 5 minutes to get to Tchoupitoulas with the new 4th street.
