Yes, if they’ve served their time.

If the issue is they’re a violent offender but didn’t serve enough time to satisfy our standard of punishment, that’s a law/legislative/judicial issue and not a individual rights issue (if that makes sense). Take it up with the folks writing the laws and doling out the punishment.

Are their victims no longer victims? Are they un-robbed? Un-raped? Un-murdered?

Should the punishment last longer than the sentence? No.

I think violent criminals need to be put to death like the rabid dogs they are. But for other crimes, punishment should end at the end of the sentence.

Yes, but understand my position. If society will always look at you as a threat you should never be released back into society. If you can never be released in society, you should be executed. I don’t believe in taking care of criminals for life.

This should be enshrined into the constitution.

Yes. And only felons convicted of crimes of violence should lose their right to self defense.

I know a guy who at 17 helped a friend steal a guy's dad's boat to go out. The guys dad caught them and called police to make an example. But he then paid for his sons defense Mt friend got a shite lawyer. He wound up charged as an adult with a felony. Now he's 42. Works as an inspector. Makes good money has a family and kids. No drugs no vices. He can't vote or own a gun because he went with a friend to take his dad's boat.

I'm also friends with his lawyers son and I use this example as to why I'm never use my friends mom sa lawyer.
