I keep seeing the hundreds and billions of dollars given to east coast colleges such as Harvard, Princeton and Yale. For intelligent design purposes across many fields .

Shouldn't University of Louisiana, Nicholls University, and South Eastern
University at Hammond get the same level of federal support.

For Equity purposes shouldn't all collages receive the same level of funding per student headcount.

Southwestern university at Lafayette has just as much an opportunity to develop new drilling techniques as Harvard does to develop a new word search program

No. Federal grants should go to professors and universities researching things that improve the country.

Not some blind, equity based approach where everyone is funded to an equal level.

Those universities do all kinds of top level research, including for Dept of Defense. The payments are for large quantities of quality work, and are not participation trophies given by head count.

The government should get out of education completely. At every level. If not for the federal government with student loans, Pell grants, free this and free that, people could pay college tuition out of their pocket. Their pandering for votes and brainwashing the voting public into thinking everybody should go to college is what makes it the astronomical price it is. Not everybody should go or needs to go to college. Reason # 27,000,000 why politicians idiots.
