You may want to get your hearing checked as you couldn't be more wrong.

Marci Gras is almost a dumber holiday than Halloween

New Orleans Mardi Gras is probably the only event in America attended by more than 10,000 people and with no corporate sponsorship. It stands as a shining light of community creation and revelry in a sterile world of corporate designed holidays and traditions.

And I say this as someone who doesn’t actually like most of Mardi Gras. But if there is another community whose members put as much of their own time, creativity and money into a an event as New Orleanians do into Mardi Gras I would like to know.

Tell that to the float captains. They are even talking about an alternative route Along the lakefront with a stop to toast in front of the Mardi Gras fountain

What about Endymion?
That article didn't say whether Endymion was taking the Uptown route or the Mid City route. Last year it was the only parade that took the Mid City route, albeit an altered one.

I know a few and speak to them regularly. Who are your sources? Which parade's captains are saying this?

If this shortened route is here to stay, I may reconsider even riding in Thoth.

The Henry Clay/Magazine portion of the route was the best part of the whole ride.
