No bond granted
Charged with 17 counts of first degree murder
All of this lasted for a minute

Seems odd that the FBI couldn't figure out who he was
Its not like they could have locked him away forever for making some threatening comments on-line.
Sure he could have been evaluated and maybe charged but within a year he would be free to do what he intended

I know for a fact that Facebook can recognize a Dance Competitions logo and use that to prevent you from posting your kids' routine. This is done to encourage parents to buy their copy. This happens a LOT now to dance moms and dads.
Using that technology, any idiot who flashes a gun on social media can automatically be added to a list for scrutiny. That list can be further massaged with automated processes to analyze the text of the social media posts as well as xref mental/criminal history etc.
This ability has been around for years with the NSA.
If done right, you wouldn't have someone going Knock on Stevan Ridley's door for example(He posted a funny pic sitting in his UTV/Polaris thing, pointing a hunting rifle at the camera a few months ago).
the technology would undoubtedly get eyes on some deserving nutjobs posting pics with guns and talking tons of random violent shite.

I just watched the LiveLeak video.
I can't imagine having to walk down a hallway full of the dead bodies of people I know and am potentially friends with to exit my HIGH SCHOOL.

That’s not the guy. It’s a red haired, almost Adam Lanza clone kid with a ton of alt-right stuff on his social media.
You mean Facebook led me astray?

It’s fricking sad that kids have to go through this shite

I feel like one of the most messed up things about this, none of the kids interviewed were surprised that this happened. They knew that Cruz was capable of this. I just wish this could have been prevented.
I remember a kid in my class in high school. He was a loner, without a lot of friends. He was really weird. I, along with a few others befriended him just because (I apologize for how sick this may sound) we felt he had that potential to want to shoot up a school. So we became his friend with (a) the hopes that he wouldn't do it, or (b) that if he did, he would atleast spare us. One day in class, he kept saying, "beware the idea of march". We thought it was a joke, but he said it multiple times. It was creepy. When we pressed him, all he would say is "boom", start laughing and say hes joking. He ended up being taken out of school, and he did get some help. School officials maintain that he was just joking, and he simply wanted to move schools.
I always wonder what's the worst case scenario that could have happened...
