It's not an AR-15 problem. It's a society that has its head up its arse problem. People need to put down the phones and log off they're computers and start investing time in each other. If people will stop living in a dream world and realize every single thing that we do effects everyone around us. Gun regulations are useless. Criminals don't follow laws. That's what makes them a criminal so what's the point.

As a pro gun guy, I agree, 1 shooting is too many. This also concerns me that if a young person can do this, what does this say about our security as a country. Again, this doesn't happen over night. Parents and many others should be held responsible.

So why can't our government sit down and figure it out? The economy tanks and we've got all kinds of meetings going on. Any issue gets more attention. This happens and nobody bats an eye. Our country isn't secure. As much as we want to talk about instability elsewhere, the gun violence in this country is out of control. I mean if we all can't get together and compromise to save our children, what can we get together for? If I had the means to move my family to a safer country I think I would have to seriously consider it. We have politicians more worried about twitter beef than solving major problems.

I think the best Question right now should be;

If he doesn't go to school, why was he there (I know the obvious).

Next question, how did he gain access to the school. I know schools have policies about going thru the office first. Where was the weak point?

I couldn't imagine ever thinking about how my life would be if I ever brought a weapon to school.

Every parent in town would forbid their kid to have anything to do with you.. It would be over for you.

I went to high school 1968-72, at that time most of the trucks in the student parking lot had a rifle or shotgun in the gun rack in the window, and on more than a few occasions a firearm was brought to shop class for some purpose, there was no policy against it. The point of this being the problem is the mental state of some kids today not that they have access to firearms.

You have to take a background check at gun shows. That's a Democrat talking point that just isn't accurate. You can buy a gun from an unlicensed individual without a background check but you can do that anywhere

Last period. Lots of students have early release they said on news. May have lurked by an exit, as students were leaving, and snuck in.

I wouldn' be surprised if Florida cracks down on AR-15 sales in some manner, or at least tried to do so. The Orlando shooting was a Sig MCX firing 5.56 ammo too.
