Most churches I’d imagine at least have LE parishioners that carry in church.
The church I attend hires a team of LE each week that handle traffic and I’m sure they patrol while services are ongoing. Our church is quite large, though.

There were a number of people who had firearms throughout the church. A man that obviously took CC seriously and practiced saved a lot of lives. Unfortunately it appears one of the CC’s couldn’t access his CC and was shot. Very sad days we are living in.

I can see that with the large churches. I guess I've just never gone to one large enough.
And I guess I probably have been to one that had them, but I don't remember these days.

We have 10 individuals that rotate at my church. They are all church members and include a few LEO officers.
4 people are on duty at every event at the church and it rotates so that nobody aside from the those individuals know who is actually armed.

I’ve spoken to people I know in the white settlement area that are telling me that they don’t think it’s being covered correctly aside from the local media and I’m inclined to agree with them if they think that.

I would tend to agree with that. National news media HAS to piggyback off local media for initial reports of stories like these. The National media is repeating what I see in the DFW media if there is a White Settlement media outlet it would likely have the best facts but I haven't seen anything that local. The national media is seeing this from 30,000 ft.
That said everyone that reports news has some level of bias if one is really interested in the truth you have to take it all in and come to some reasonable conclusion doing your best to set aside your own bias which I admit is difficult. While based on the person at the mic in the pulpit this was their security but he could have been mistaken in the heat of the moment so that reporting could be wrong. If you notice the twitter video that was trumpeting the CCW good guys notice it was edited to stop prior to the mention of security being the shooters. Like I said you have to eat it all, poop out the turd and polish it well as you can.

I lived in that town 5 years ago. It’s an interesting town. For the most part it’s low income and starter homes. The inside of the loop 820 in white settlement especially around the last Vegas trail area is black and minority. There are lots of low income apartments and government subsidized housing.
Unrelated to this, there was also a huge population of gypsies/Irish travelers in the area that would con businesses out of anything they could. I think the cops ended up driving them out of town but they were virtually trespassed from every business in town and still harassed restaurant workers and store clerks.
It’ll be interesting to see what the motive here is. Just going to guess it’s not a specifically targeted victim but more of someone with some angst against Christianity or someone with some mental issues.

I haven’t seen that reported, but his reaction, mechanics, and delivery suggests he had top tier training and was ready for this encounter.
