The cop started “retreating for his safety” after she went to the stove to move the pot.. the pot that the same cops asked her to move. By “do something to make a cop need to retreat for his safety” do you mean “follow the cops’ instructions”?

Meanwhile, the she was “yelling the biblical craziness” so loudly and threateningly that the cop actually had to ask her to repeat herself before telling her he would shoot her in her fricking face.

She wasn’t threatening them. She didn’t yell it out menacingly. She said it slowly in the same tone as the ongoing conversation. Honestly, it sounded to me like she was making a shitty joke. Hell it almost sounded like the cop was making a shitty joke when he said he was backing up to keep her from throwing the water at him.. I mean why would you get all nervous about her doing something you just asked her to do? Nothing about his reactions from the time she went to the stove and the time he pulled the trigger was rational or reasonable.

All of that said, she was mentally ill. Which makes it all the more amazing that the cop looked way more unhinged than her.

Then, wouldn't it have been prudent for the cops not to have told her to go take care of the pot of unidentified, potentially harmful/deadly liquid on the stove? They sent an "actual crazy person" who was "capable of doing seriously crazy stuff" to handle the potential deadly pot?

I would like to think most cops with half a brain would have simply watched with reasonable caution as she put the pot down and went about her business rather than going from zero/laughing to “I swear to God I’ll shoot you right in your fricking face.”

You can act like she was hissing at him and rearing back to throw the pot across the room like a discus but it’s absurd.
