You mean double jeopardy? That's what I originally thought when I saw the thread but she probably requested a new trial so double jeopardy would not apply. You cannot be charged for the same crime twice, however, each new incident is a new crime. You cannot just keep doing the same wrong thing because one time you were found not guilty.
