Can that part of the leg be saved?
No it got most of the deep vasculature that would be required for perfusion. Will need amputation at knee

People love to advocate for conservation to save the shark population and save the bear population. And this is the thanks they get, every time they go out to enjoy nature they have to worry about being eaten alive.

Frick damn.
Get one of those site seeing helicopters on it and walk a boat and some divers into this things area he will obviously swim to the guys in the water and net and kill it. I sa a post earlier today that showed a mahi tagged in key west and get caught up north near New Jersey I think 14days later, I wonder if this shark is somehow connected to some Florida attacks… who knows. Could be

November is football season dummy. So no.
On topic- was this woman the only person bitten by a shark today in SP Island?
And also- while I love a gory real life video - I hate how society is more concerned with filming crap like that than helping. I counted 6 grown arse men in the video who could’ve picked her up and gotten her completely out of the water.
But I’m also arm chair quarter backing rn- so there’s that…

It’s been over 30 years since I’ve been to that beach, so crazy to see sharks so close
Looks like 2 other people were attacked and it’s very rare to have an attack on SPI

took the bystanders a long time to get a tourniquet on her leg.
To be fair not everyone carries a med pack and the beach isn’t exactly an area with an abundance of belts. I get made fun of from time to time for carrying an IFAK but it has come in handy a handful of times.

When my husband and I were in rosemary beach a few years ago- I went into the water- mid shin deep and saw a baby shark and quickly exited the water.
I told my husband what I saw and he didn’t believe me.
A few minutes later everyone saw mama shark and freaked out. He believed me then.
No one was bitten that time though.
I think I’ll start packing a tourniquet in my beach bag from now on though bc you just never know….

I was just now thinking the same thing. I added it to my beach packing list I keep on my phone.
Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

I had a nice little Guatemalan that did the yard ... it was due I noticed
but I did the garden,,, roses garden gnomes some ground cover in season herbs,, onions,, rosemary ,, mint ,,,peppers
I would mulch twice a year inject coffee deep into the roses to feed them power washed the rock so it didn't get too moldy i'm sure after I did these pictures I sprayed it that I was noticing in the pictures that I know I would have gotten out the sprayer if we killed and done to work on those little frickers sneaking through
I miss it
