I’m lucky in this dept. Christmas Eve lunch at in-laws, then that night shoot over to have supper and cocktails with my moms side the family. Christmas Day morning gift exchange then lunch with my parents. That night visit my dads side the family. Of course us all living within 30 miles of one another really helps.

Ha, you think that's tough?

Wait until you're divorced and have to share holidays with your ex.

You'll find out about grief.

Do you have any siblings? If so, are you the first one with a significant other?

This is new for your parents...they just don’t know how to deal with it, but they’ll adjust eventually. I’m sure mom is having a tough time.

Just keep this guilt you’re dealing with in mind when you have kids and they end up in this same situation.

Look who hijacked another thread...

You are salty because I called you out on your lie in another thread. Now go aggravate and spread your lies to other posters in other threads like you infamously do.

Work on your social awareness also, dumbass.

ALL of this ... especially the second part. Remember the situation your family is putting you in and don't do it to your kids in the many years to come.

If your parents can't understand that your fiance needs you right now, then they need to grow up. This isn't just a girlfriend, this is a woman who is going to be your wife and the mother of your children. Not wanting to get together before or after the holiday is just childish.
