Most judges will set the bond amount at the time of signing the warrant but some judges prefer to have the person brought before them after being arrested to set bond. Its just the judges preference.

I do hope that the kid gets due process. What will be will be. You make a bed = you lay in it.

Wouldn't have a clue how that went down. I'm just curious about the process. I'm doing some heavy talking to my own kids. Always have but now seemed like a good time for a reminder talk about right/wrong etc.

But you can't lay in someone else's bed without their consent, even if you were kind enough to make it.

I just mean if he did whatever it is he's accused of, then he has no one to blame but himself. SO glad I'm not the parent.

I got teenage nephews and I have sat them down and went over the sex offense laws with them.

If you got teeanagers especially boys....you need to stress how important to know ages and what age span will get them in trouble.

Also stress, that not knowing the age doesn't cut it.

You can already self-refer to PT, as long as it's for a condition that your MD has seen you for in the recent 3 months.

Yeah, my oldest is 23 and the second son is 18. When he was 17 and his girlfriend was 16 I was like dude, don't even. I am not naive but I think he's too afraid to get into trouble of that nature. Think that this has further opened his eyes (even not knowing details) that shite can go wrong.

I'm the mom and have had more discussions with him than he'd care to have ever had. But I don't really care ... he'll do what he's going to do BUT it can never be said that he wasn't taught correctly.

99% sure that someone came and talked to the entire high school at the beginning of the year. My daughter came home COMPLETELY GROSSED OUT and my son was like yeah, whatever but did say it was good info.

Louisiana Revised Statute 14:80 and 14:81 should be required reading for all 16 year olds.

You seem to be enjoying a longer than usual period of good health in the recent year. Keep it up

2 good knees ... 2 good hips ... yep, I'm good. Would have been great a long time ago hip wise had the first PT checked the hip strength. It was NIL NADA ZERO NONE. Was a relatively simple fix and the knees also. Once I decided to just have them scoped!

Awesome. But the self-referral law should be revised for true direct access......since you asked.

We know the parents and the kid ... not someone that I'd want my son to be hanging around with and definitely not someone I'd want my daughter to date even prior to this.

What's "sexual battery" as opposed to "sexual battery (misdemeanor)"??

This one doesn't get you sent to jail, the misdemeanor does.
