Fricking eerie as hell...

You can really see what a tornado looks like on velocity.
You'll also sometimes see what's called a "hook echo" on the normal radar. Basically there's a little hook that comes off the back left of a cell. The precipitation shows a downdraft, and the hook is a downdraft coming around the backside. The little notch in between is where the tornado is, it's the updraft for the warm air coming in.

Still looks quite vigorous to me, based on Mullet's screencap unfortunately.

From what I can tell the circulation went right into the condo areas. Any indication if it was down?

Still no indication other than a weakening when it came ashore..

My barn is area of black circle. I sent barn owner who lives there a heads up.

Not white anymore. Turned regular red color and seems to have died out

I'm ready to head out there if needed. Barn owner and husband live there. Landlady also had a house on the property. Most horses (mine are) in the cinder block barn tonight.

Weather channel just said significant weakening happened right as landfall took place.

Now it looks like the wind is getting faster

Thanks for that. Why is anyone else on the rods tonight? Damn that's dumb.
I have coworkers and barnmates in the p'cola warrington area. Ugh. I hate tornadoes. Seriously my greatest fear in life. Midgets are a close second.
