You see that big push of yellow (air wrapping around the low)? It's making the main cloud blob get shoved forward from the high winds coming behind it, at least that's what it looks like to me. Basically focusing the energy.

I'm no expert though, so I might be misreading it.

Man, that is terrible for those poor people.

Looks like that was a 3, some it maybe bordering 4. The 4 thing could easily be true if the wedge rumors are true.

The caption says tornado near Kenner but I'm thinking this was Laplace.
