I realize that but so have all the areas getting raked by tornadoes today as well as the Gulf Coast states. We've been hit by AT LEAST as many landfalling hurricanes in the last 25 years as South Carolina and far, far more serious tornado outbreaks.

Better strap the underwire down to the 3rd set of hooks!

Another warning south of Venice.....but damn, there's a real legit hook echo for the one near Pelican Pointe.

Hope that thing misses diversion canal houses. Seems to be headed right there or just south.

Yeah, they fricked up that projected path pretty bad.
Gotcha. When the alarm first came out, they had the red targeted area as it going directly at Prairieville, with Shenandoah clearly in the targeted area. Even gave the times to expect it. Then suddenly, I can't find map with that path anywhere close.
Not that I'm complaining. I was just expecting the worst.

Some signs of weakening the last few minutes. Hope that holds.

Looks like they were way off on that projected path. It's heading toward Lake Maurepas now.
No, there were two separate warnings. The one warning for the system closed to EBR warned till 3:45 was cancelled. The system didn't maintain its strength.
There was a second separate warned storm south of it that is the storm headed towards Lake Maurepas now.

Live up the road from yall off airline and got nothing but rain.
And yes for all the build up and hype this was a bust. 3 confirmed tornados with no wind or hail reports is not considered a severe tornadic weather outbreak. Seen worse during a late summer afternoon mcv rolling through when there was only a slight chance of severe weather. No reason half the state should have been shut down. What's next shutting things down for flash flood and severe t storm watches?

That one fizzled out, the one tracking toward Lake Maurepas was for a different part of the storm.
ETA: From a few pages back. Two separate warnings for different areas of the storm, the one to the north was cancelled not long after being posted.

I was afraid of that. This one looks like a potential taker of lives.
