Still on the ground. Will go through the south side of Manchester. There's a prison pretty close to the path it is taking.

Looks like it may have lifted. Talk about close for Manchester!

Damn my grandparents used to live on Old Whitley Road near the airport. Nobody currently is in the house but it hasn’t been sold yet. I hope the house is still standing, all my granddad’s WW2 shite and I’m sure other family heirlooms are in there.

ETA: missed the house by a mile, maybe less

It appears the Somerset-London, KY tornado was very significant. Major damage and casualties being reported.

Somerset, KY just got nailed by a violent tornado
I'm not trying to be an arsehole (this time) but is there such a thing as a non-violent tornado??

Usually when the term “violent tornado” is used, it is being used to describe tornadoes that are in the EF-3, EF-4 or EF-5 range. You’re right, every tornado could be considered “violent” in that they can all do damage and cause harm, but for whatever reason the term “violent tornado” has taken on the meaning described above in the weather community.
