UMC in NOLA is the only Level 1 trauma in LA that I'm aware of.

With that being said, prayers sent.

Pretty sure they bought the remainder of hilcorps land assets. They acquire a shite field for every two they get that are on their last leg.

Oh you don’t think their genius idea to hedge hard on ALOG (Alaska Leftover Oil & Gas) was a great idea ?

UMC in New Orleans and LSUHSC in Shreveport are the only two Level I trauma centers in the state.

This is true. Used to work that unit back around 2000. Not sure if that unit still has an ICU though.

So was this an oil rig or a natural gas drilling rig?

Probably neither. Maybe a workover rig if they were do doing a P&A.

Plugging a well, must have had a gas pocket.

P&A is usually rather routine

Marsh well, accessible only by boat. P&A so putting a concrete plug down in the well then drilling mud over before another concrete plug on top of that.

So, I guess that not enough production to even pay for maintenance.

The decluet field off doc Duhon was a big get but I’m pretty sure that came with a pawn off field. Bill & Bruce (the owners) have some special affinity for Hilcorp assets.

Hilcorp still has alot of land and inland waters properties in Louisiana. There was rumblings that Hilcorp was going to sell all of it to tpic but haven’t heard much about that in a while.

The only difference between level 1 and 2 is patient volume

They have the same staff/resources otherwise

Sounds like this is burn though which is a a different animal. Some hospitals have a burn unit but dont get other traumas

UMC in NO is a Level 1 trauma center, I believe.

10-4, they don't bring all burn victims to the same hospital in an emergency situation. They spread them out. Prayers for all.

BRG has one of the top burn units nation wide.
