I used to enjoy music and travel threads on the OT, now they have their own boards and I find that I hardly ever click on them.

I never visit the music board

The travel board...I look at that regularly. I actually really like having all the travel stuff on one board.

Same reason why there is no golf board. If you're on TD you're not doing either of those two activities.

Not true... I actually read this site while in between sets.

I, for one, do not want a bunch of specialty boards

it kinda dilutes the OT

plus I don't think a fitness board would be that popular and would more than likely just have the same threads over and over again

Agreed.

The more certain topics get moved into their own boards, the less topics there are for the OT. The OT would turn into the "IM thread and babes" board even more than it already is.

It's better without a fitness board. This way us fit people set an example for the O-T fatties.

Dude, fitness threads used to pop up once a week and some would go for months like the P90X thread.

If you can't keep a fitness thread on the first page it's because there is no interest in your topic.

I can imagine a board where the first page has fifteen supplement threads, six "whaddaya bench" threads and four intermentant fasting threads.

Enthralling

Fitness forums like bodybuilding.com have millions upon millions of hits every day. The threads don't stick on the OT because it's not the interest of the majority on here. The new members a fitness board would draw would contribute to the OT though.

We don't need an example. Studies have shown that fat people have better jobs, are better at sex, are happier and live longer healthier lives than non fats. So no need to worry about us, we're doing just fine.

Here is what the board would basically consist of:

- Mouton in every thread.

- Rocket31 laughing at anyone trying to eat mildly healthy and saying he is shredded on Burger King and pop tarts.

- 30 page threads about whether different food affects the body differently or weight loss is simply calories in v calories out.

- Thousands of threads about intermittent fasting.

If it provides a place for those two jabronis... then I might be all for it after all.

There are more threads asking for a fitness board than there are actual threads that would go on a fitness board.

How many versions of...

"Old Guy walks around naked in locker room"

"Two guys grunting and throwing weights"

"Should I introduce myself to girl on machine next to me"

do you want to read?
