No, your eyes aren't deceiving you—beginning October 2019, you'll be able to stay inside a 450-foot-tall guitar-shaped hotel that looks out over a massive 4.5-acre lagoon-style pool. The South Florida hotel was designed to look like two back-to-back guitars and has floor-to-ceiling glass panes running the length of the building. If you were looking for a reason to plan a vacation, this is it.

The very prominent new addition to Florida's skyline is part of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. While the space has been open since the early 2000s, this $1.5 billion-renovation—yep, that's billion with a B—is making it even more of a tourist destination.
quote:
Similar to the Palms Resort and Casino's recent revamp, this overhaul expanded the Hard Rock's casino space, restaurant and beverage options, and pool area. When the expansion is complete this fall, the destination will include a total of 16 restaurants and 20 bars for visitors to dine and drink at, three hotel towers to stay in, plus a luxury spa and a massive casino with more than 100 tables and thousands of slots. In short, visitors won't run out of things to do.
quote:
On the restaurant side, there's steak and seafood; Japanese, Vietnamese and Chinese food; diner-inspired eats; poolside fare; and more. For drinks, there's a little of everything—find wine, cocktails, and beer at restaurants, upscale lounges, and poolside bars, or head to the new day club or nightclub to see performers like Maroon 5. Day club visitors looking for a VIP experience can rent bungalows with private pools, too.

Passed by it going to the Keys last summer. My memory may be screwy, but I swear it felt like it was in the middle of nowhere. Not near the coast, not near the city, just next to the interstate.
I could be remembering incorrectly though.

Not to be outdone, South Padre will have a similarly themed 20 story motel shaped like the number 6.

I would never give Indians my money considering all the atrocities they committed on white settlers

Looks like a good opportunity for snakes to go swimming in extravagance

Drove from BR to Miami yesterday and passed by it for the 4th time or so. Looks really cool from the interstate.

My Lord that pool is huge. No one is going to bother walking 4 acres just to take a piss that's for sure.

This expansion played a huge part in the EBCI recently approving and breaking ground on a similar expansion.

Because nothing says “Miami” like a guitar.

Should be nice. I go here a few times a year and they have been working on it awhile. Food options currently suck imo. Also, the nightclub should be pretty popular.
