Dude I have thrown shite away after listing it on FB marketplace. That place is so frustrating that I just said screw it.

This doesn't only apply to facebook, tried that too, but any online market in my experience

I attempted to sell a few thousand bales of excess hay(pure coastal bermuda, not shite) a while back, marked @ market to start, that went nowhere. Got so annoyed, I started slashing prices just to see what level I could sell at. No matter the price, the only replies were either scammers("i'll mail you a check before pickup") or no-shows/people that stopped responding. I tried both during a drought and before/after bitter winter @ way below FMV, still nothing.

This was in a decently sized rural Texas market(~100,000), at least 100 ranchers/hobby farmers within 10 miles. Eventually just said frick it and decided to develop the ranch instead

Do you factor in CPT? If a brother says 7, plan for him to be there about 7:40.. in case he gets their a little early.

I sell stuff on marketplace all the time. I typically have a couple things on there at any given moment.

I copy and paste one response to everyone that says it’s available and then answers the same general questions everyone asks.

When it comes time to meet, I give them my Google voice number and tell them to call when they are _ Minutes away from wherever I am. Then I always meet at a public place that is on my way to wherever I am going at the moment. I never invite weirdos to my house

It can be frustrating as all hell. I like tinkering with small engines so I'm flipping old mowers/weedeaters that I pull off the curb quite a bit. You end up going. Back and forth with 20 or 30 people before one actually buys.

You also end up with folks offering to trade their junk instead of cash. Sometimes it's good stuff, though. I ended up with a mint Winchester 1894 30-30 this year in trade.
