I changed my first tire with zero instruction. Just figured out how to do it. It’s not rocket science.

Or maybe just rotate your tires...take the first one off while they observe. Work with them taking the second one off. Let them do the next two. Explain the rotation...then put one back on while you explain and they watch. Work with them on the second one, and let them do the next two, while you watch. They should have it down real well after that. Then next time you do it, let them see you pull out the impact gun, so they can be like wtf...

I didn't down vote you, but my kids cars don't have spare tires. Run flat tires, if something happens drive it to the shop and get a new tire installed.

No, times are changing grandpa. Do you teach your son how to fix VHS tapes while your daughter is hanging clothes on the clothes line?
The person I was replying to insisted it was EVERY Father's job to teach their children how to change a flat tire.

It is a father's job to teach everything that they can, It's a way of instilling the idea in your child, that can be self sufficient and independent.
Couple of days ago, I taught my 4 year old daughter how to start tomato seedlings from seeds in plastic cups, under a light bulb.

I would say no offense, but in this case I do mean to offend a little. Why the frick are you letting your kids drive around with no spares and no instruction on how to change them?

You must not realize it, but changing a tire is a very basic chore, and the mechanics of the lesson are transferable to more complicated and difficult tasks. It's step 1 to learn to do greater things.
