These punks in here are what the predators in the old neighborhood called "a gift". They were prey when they ventured over there to buy dope.

Absolutely . Funny thing is, it was just highlighted in The Pharmacist(Netflix).

quote:

You remember "Wayne Williams"? All of them in the 'hood were running around, "I got some Wayne...it's killer."

Ehh. I know what you're referencing but we had a different lingo in New Orleans than just about everywhere else in the country. Everything was 'girl' and 'boy'.

quote:

I have just heard that, "I was profiled" until I am sick of it. Dude got pulled over.

I don't blame you, I'm sick of it too but an injustice is still an injustice. I fricking despise an overreaching government. Because history.

quote:

The Constitution sounds great on paper. You've been there. When the law pulls you over there are no "rights". They have you. Cams are slowly changing all of that.

For sure. Judge, jury and executioner all rolled into one. You can beat the rap but you can't beat the ride. I'm like you. I'm always very nice to them and try to break them down and make them human when I interact with them. Sometimes it works but often times they're just vegetable pieces of shite that are too far gone. I mean, the Stanford Experiment went south after just two days. Some of these cops have been in law enforcement for 20 and 30 years.

quote:

Back in the day you were at their mercy. They could let you go or kill you. Both options were open to them.

Well 'kill you' is a bit extreme. That was usually reserved for the officers who we're knee-deep in it and dealing themselves. But I have been on both ends of this. I've had my arse beat for literally nothing and I've also been with groups of people that have been let go when we were holding.

Dude, if you didn't grow up there. You literally have no clue.

but you are okay with the injuries Lattimore received. It doesn't matter how much you dislike a team, you never wish or be okay with an opponent to be seriously injuried.

No, I'm not okay with it. But don't claim an accidental injury was intentional. frick you and the POS that made that claim.

but you have firsthand knowledge of Lattimore’s recent experience enough to make a conclusive judgment on it.

"Kill you" wasn't extreme in this town.

They killed this old man for a "verbal altercation". I have a friend who was in the cell next to this guy when they inflicted the worst beating.

Get pulled over. Run that mouth. Pay the price. Claim racism.

Nope! This one is new. Never heard it before. Tell us about it.

Guess what? It works.

Guess what. It's also illegal. Ever heard of the 4th amendment? It's pretty neat.

When those that swear an oath to the constitution break that oath, they are no longer the good guys.

Half the people I grew up went there.

Same with Vietnam. They said the draft was a lottery. A lot of the older guys in my neighborhood sure did get lucky in the "lottery".

Nope.

However, one of the biggest regrets of my life is not answering the call to serve in our Nation's military.

There is a long-winded diatribe by Charles Bronson that, I think, Kafka posted not long ago. In it he says he is no longer going to post under that name and he will now use his alter TulaneLSU. The writing style and the verbosity definitely check out.
