I feel ya, went to winter park last week. We rented a carolla and got to the dealership and they hooked me up with a 4 x 4 Silverado for the same price. We drove through the snow and couldn't see the road at all. it was great never felt like I was in danger. Winter Park was nice but has a small town. It might be my go to now because you can catch the Amtrak from Denver to the town if a blizzard comes in.

Nice Huck! Evidently were getting some precipitation so its on for a afternoon lunch lap up high. Work is sending me north for some Chugach fun. Hopefully the weather lines up.

Keep that tight loose work schedule...

At Vail right now under lighting delay at a bar. Hucked that same cliff at Breck yesterday. As seen below.

Just put the POV video on Instagram. Hopefully some more stuff soon. @ben10hodges or here's the video link: LINK

Bout to hit Copper. 12" of snow sitting in my backyard after it was completely dry yesterday around 10am. Breck and Copper reported 15". Most snow I've seen come down in a short time from like 2-8pm last night. Insane.

fricking a basin was closed today due to wind so I didn't get to start riding until about 10 at Loveland. Good day but not great due to the wind. The good news is the wind will be calm tomorrow and the two day, untouched total will run about 3 feet at a bay

I understand shite like that happens sometimes but put it on the damn website before 10am. Hundreds of us trekked all the way over there with the pass closed. I love a bay but I was pissed this morning

Heard it ripped the roof off Zuma lift shack. I was choosing between the Basin and Copper. Glad I missed that shite show. Would've been mad with you.

Probably skiing Breck tomorrow and then Winter Park Monday before flying home Tuesday. My knees and legs could use a rest. That snow was heavvvy to move around today. But deep, so I'll take it.

You getting out tomorrow?

ETA: good thinking. Didn't even think about it being untouched at ABasin. Heading there tomorrow first thing.

Decisions, decisions...

So many fricking people everywhere. I'm about to cut my losses and head home then ride either Berthoud Pass or get on some couloirs in RMNP tomorrow

Damn. I heard the basin was bad but that sounds nuts.

My morning lined up about as well as you could hope at Breck on a weekend powder day. Made 5-6 good powder laps on E then 6 chair before waiting in a line. Then waited for Imperial to open near front of the line. Lapped down the bowl first and then had an epic Arts Bowl lap when they opened Peak 7 access. Probably top 5 run of the year. Snow was so much lighter than yesterday. The firm snow underneath was a nice base.

Ran around all over the mountain after that. Sent the contest bowl cliff again. Love that thing. My legs are whooped. Breck hike-to stuff should be reallllll nice tomorrow though.

Glad you had a good day

We went out of bounds to get the good stuff. My friend got lost and ended up somewhere between A Basin and Keystone. She eventually hitch hiked back. While that was going on one of my roommates was on the way to the hospital so now I'm sitting there now

Damn. From skiing/riding?

Y'all ski the Beavers area? I've seen plenty of people pop up outta the woods to hitchhike back in between AB and Keystone.

Today was unexpected because of the change in snow. Yesterday was fun but 15" should have been awesome. Today's 7" was way better. Glad I made an effort to get out early. Keep thinking I'm not gonna get another deep day, but springs been kind.

Wolf Creek reopened for the weekend powder. 100% of their terrain too. I love that place.
