Deke always had that country folk personality to him. I enjoyed his knowledge of Louisiana HS football and ole time wrasstling.
I was listening to him when he had that stroke during saints postgame. I told myself, Deke is slurring his words. I’m surprised WWL did not react sooner to his emergency.

“tries” being the operative term. In short, I found his “attempts” to placate his “right leaning callers” (aka...moderate centrists) to he disingenuous at best. Why bother? He is civil and isn’t a liberal progressive lunatic, and sadly, that in and of itself is refreshing.
However, imho, it is also anecdotal evidence that we have set a very low expectation for intellectually stimulating discussion via talk radio.

That Kristian Garic is pretty talented. He's sharp on his LSU baseball and loves arguing with Jason from Atlanta about Brees
