On the weekends? I don't think this was for work?
You can park there 24/7, 365. All you need is a card.

I had no idea this board had so much hate for Scoot.
I also had no idea this board was so defensive of NOLA city government.

Didn't he get mugged or something a while back? He's living the high life and getting it from both ends.

Yes he got BTFO
In an unrelated note, he's an insufferable whiny bitch and always tries to be the voice of reason and virtue signal on every damn show.
He and Tommy Tucker should get in a thunderdome death match

I can't, just can't spin this against Scoot. Every last one of us who has listened to local talk radio for years, AND/OR who have parked/driven in the CBD at all KNOW just how little regard Parking Enforcement has for accuracy. They do this often KNOWING that it's cheaper to pay the fine than to fight their deliberate malfesance.
I dislike Scoot as he is now. In his early days, and even once he got to B-97 in the early 1980s, he was THE guy on local FM rock/pop radio. Now, he's a liberal who has enough dosh to live in a trendy CBD apartment, and lecture the rest of his mostly conservative audience every chance he gets. This issue, however, I can't hold against him. They are out of control and have been for decades. I remember listening to David Tyree, Andre Trevigne, later Garland, Kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaare, and anyone else on afternoon drive all railing against Parking Enforcement and the city does NOTHING about it.

I lived in the quarter for 3 years. I know all about those lazy fricks.
I always used the phone app to pay my meter, but there's nothing you actually put on your dashboard, meaning they actually had to do work and check their system if indeed the car was parked illegaly.
That resulted in numerous unwarranted tickets for me. I would even leave notes on my car saying "Paid on app, check your system!".
Luckily is was fairly easy to get them reversed by calling, after them giving you the run-around of course. Now I think they let you contest them online which is better.

I posted about this before when this topic has come up.
A friend of mine, who is an attorney at one of the big downtown law firms, got a notice in the mail about a past due parking ticket fine. He knew nothing about the original ticket.
While looking at the date on the ticket if occurred to him that his car was in a body shop being repaired on that date. He got a copy of the police report detailing the accident, and a written statement from his insurance company and the body shop stating the dates when his car was in the body shop.
When presented with this evidence, parking enforcement rescinded the ticket and said that a mistake had been made.
He was so pissed about it, he was talking about running an ad in the newspaper and finding other people who had been scammed by parking tickets and file a class action suit against the city.
