I saw one of them the other day. She had a bumper sticker that said "Spoiled Oilfield Wife". Didn't have a number 1 or 2 though.

Didn't they recently shut down their New Orleans office on St. Charles Avenue? If they didn't it looked like it was on a life line.

I'm sure they're not done, but the ones you're talking about already happened. They're just confirming that they did it. 30k total from Q4/14 to Q4/15.

I've interviewed a few from Schlumberger and Halliburton layoffs. They are all very well trained and willing to do just about anything, but when upstream gets kicking again, will they bolt?

I work for a 60-person environmental company. I think that's a benefit of working for a small company - we can make quick moves to find the revenue and keep everyone busy.

Ok good i thought i was going crazy for a second.

The merger with Cameron was/is going through this month i think.
I think a large portion of Cameron's valve business is going to get spun off.

Schlumberger didn't buy Cameron for their line of valves I'm pretty sure...

Blackhawk is running their company into the ground anyway. Since buying Trinity Tools they damn near have ruined it in just under 2 years

I was working for them until Monday, when I was laid off. I'm also no baw, I am in accounting/finance. So I am lucky, shouldn't be difficult to find another job.
