It was pretty sad and it was scary.

Bless people who help them out.

———

Went to the train station to get lunch. I saw a homeless man sitting near the cafeteria.

If anyone walked near him, he would start screaming at them and start threatening them. I quickly walked past him.

Went to the the cafeteria (and got a nice tilapia sandwich btw). Saw the homeless man wandering around. He was walking around drawing back like he was about to punch, people accusing them of hurting him and threatening him. He shoved at a few people and tried to grab someone.

By this point there were police on the scene watching him.

They waited till he got back to his cart and I left as quickly as possible because it was awful to see someone who was so lost and hurt.

All I can do is shrug.

It was a sad sight to see and not something I see very often and I don’t think most people on here do.

We shouldn’t ignore people with mental healthcare. They closed down State mental institutions in Illinois because the state is corrupt and bankerupt. Now the sick don’t get the help they need and citizens are put in more jeporardy.

If the cops work the area a lot I imagine they know him. I knew a lot of the people that had problems like this in the area I worked. You get to know these people and how to deal with them.

One of the cops may have been calling him by a nickname I believe. I heard someone calling out from behind me when I was walking behind the homeless guy on my path out of the train station. It turns out, it was an officer. I offline quick as frick so I wasn’t in between them.

I think the nickname they used was “blondie.” For a black guy.

I was able to grow up without seeing a ton of bad stuff. Later as an adult I was leaving a restaurant with someone else and noticed people in the shadows. Then noticed they were stumbling, scratching themselves, things like that. Then one of them turned toward me and you could tell that person had just pissed their pants. The person I was with informed me these were addicts. I'd never seen that before. That's all diary. I will talk to you tomorrow.

I’m good friend with the Dr. who is head of Homeless Programs in my County. I was amazed that this population could deal with so much at once: mental health, poverty, domestic violence, disease and alcohol/drug abuse.

Often one of these issues/symptoms are problematic. With the homeless population, you could be dealing with a combo of all.
