Well, if I wanted to distract from my misdeeds, I'd get someone to provide a plausible alternative explanation.
Thats what a detective hypothesized yesterday, that the guy on the front camera was an act.
But if you go through all that to try to confuse the authorities, whats the motive for the entire thing? None of it makes sense.

Good catch. It looked like it.
And I don’t think the cartel would dress up like a winter idiot. They would bring 10 and break down the door kill everything in the house except for her and leave. Done.

motive
Cover up an accident... say, granny was moving too slow and son in law was already peeved at having to drive her home... he gives her a somewhat forceful nudge and falls and hits her head and maybe dies right then.
Or negligence... he dropped her off but didn't wait for her to go in, finds out she didn’t MAKE it in, he's at fault and scrambles to cover it up.

Plausible, but if thats the case and it isn't him on the front camera for the "cover up" then he would have had to scramble to put things together and there would be phone calls to whomever is on camera.
Did he have a burner phone?

FBI just asked neighbors for video they have between certain hours on the night of January 11th, 2 weeks prior.
Thats an interesting ask.

That IS strange...
I'd also like to hear more on whether her roof got "done"... that sounded like some kind of lead but I haven't seen anything on it since.

A viewer watching the coverage of the Nancy Guthrie missing person investigation in Tucson ordered a pizza for an independent journalist on the scene.
Hopefully it was Georgia Worell from NYPost. She's a babe

How much more non existent and deleted video will be discovered through the heroic efforts of Federal agents and Amazon engineers?

Maybe the family had a similar dinner that night or Nancy mentioned something to someone about something suspicious on that night

Caring for the elderly can be very challenging/exhausting. I am not sure how much care giving Annie and her husband had to do but with her siblings living out of town, Nancy’s limited mobility, and Nancy not seeming to have a personal caretaker, they may have been the main caretakers and snapped and are trying to cover it up.

Once you kill someone, your effort to monetize the break in suddenly goes away?
I believe this to be true. If you were a rando just trying to rob someone and it leads to murder, you're not going to camp out there and make yourself breakfast, take a nap and go through old family albums. You're going to exit the scene almost immediately.
Had a friend that was robbed for his Benz a couple years ago - all on camera w/audio. Perp demanded the car and his belongings and my friend put up a fight in his own driveway b/c his wife and kid were inside.
Well, during the scuffle, my friend was shot in the chest and died on the scene. What happened with the perp? He not only fled, but didn't even take the Benz. The Guthrie perp - in my opinion anyway - would quickly scurry away like the rat he is.

WTF, investigators have now set up a tent over the front door of Nancy's house...
Talk about a clusterfrick. After releasing the house, letting reporters and pizza delivery guys walk up to the door, you now seal it off for forensics?

She doesn’t look friendly now? I take so many pics of her it'd be a pita to find the exact one I had before.
I promise she's ridiculously friendly.

They seem like Keystone Kops over there. And Tucson isn't a tiny city either so they should have proper investigators.

I kind of discounted the idea that this was just some random burglary because what random burglar would take an 84-year-old woman out of her home. If he killed her, he would just get out of the house as soon as possible and leave her body there.
However, I then thought that maybe he could’ve taken the woman with him if, for instance, he wanted to try to use her ATM card and PIN to get some money. You see robbers doing this all the time. That’s the only possible reason I could think of why a random burglar would take this woman. I doubt he’d be thinking about getting any sort of ransom.
I’m sure the police have checked all the local videos from ATM machines.

Were her cards used or something? Hadn't heard that yet.
