So these new videos were supposed to show us that this was murder.... lol wow if anything they justified it even more. Don’t comply to commands of the officers and then get tazed and just act like it was a sting from a bee. Then still keep fighting and resisting until they are forced to defend themselves and defuse the situation . I have no problems with the way any of this was handled. They did their jobs and did it right!!!

Blane and his attorney will now sue Br, BRPD, Broome and quite a few others
I've seen people get fired for less and lose in court.
Louisiana is an at-will state. You can be fired for any reason so long as it isn't due to retaliation (whistleblower), discrimination, or disability. His only recourse would be to appeal to the civil service board and any mechanisms the unions have in place, which is usually arbitration.
He can sue but he won't win.

I disagree because he can sue for a bias Broome had before all the facts came out. She ran on this platform which I think is more than enough for him to win the suit.

I'm baffled at how many people think somehow Salamoni comes out of this with a multi million dollar guaranteed win lawsuit.
I imagine part of the reason his attorney is looking to appeal the termination is because being fired over an improper use of force probably puts some of the civil liability on him personally rather than solely on the department and city-parish. There isn't some pot of gold at the end of the deadly force encounter rainbow for officers involved in shite like this. There's years of intense stress in trying to avoid total financial ruin.

I only think he has a chance to win the lawsuit only because Broome Stick ran on a platform to fire him before she had any evidence or the investigation was complete. She had a bias which I believe will work in his favor.

Those cops killed sterling. He was a piece of shite but didn’t have that coming

It's perfectly legal to fire somebody because of bias so long as it's not bias against race, gender, religion, or national origin.
You can fire people because you don't like their shoes or because you don't like their taste in music or even because their kid is better than your kid at baseball. You can randomly fire people for no reason at all if you want to. You can even fire people because it's politically expedient and yes you can pre-meditate the firing as Broome has done. This is all legal in any state with at-will employment.

That doesn't matter when it comes to civil service. If he he had just about any other job in Louisiana, yes he could be fired for all that you mentioned but there are different rules when it comes to civil service.
We will all get to find out what happens with the review board and any lawsuits because we all the the Advocate, WBRZ and WAFB will beat this thing until it's dead. Any new news will be posted immediately by those 3 entities.

I’m no defender of Alton Sterling, but “I’m going to shoot you in the head, bitch” should never be uttered by an officer of the law.

The language was definitely a mistake but I don't think he can be fired for that. I'd be willing to bet he is not the only one to use such language (probably on a daily basis) in all police forces. Like I said, we will all get to find out all new news on this case because the local media will never let this story die.

Clearly you're not interested in reality. Believe what you want.

Looks to me like BS should be fired.
Now, I'm not going to say whether what he did was right or wrong. I've never been in that situation.
But I'm pretty sure he didn't handle the verbal piece of that correctly.
