I looked at these videos again and honestly am baffled as to what Lake did wrong. From watching the video I wouldn't want Salamoni working on the force, but Lake seemed like he was all about de-escalation and just tried to do the best with the cards he was given once it started going down.
I agree. I can’t figure it out. Unless there was something blatantly obvious that he was supposed to do but he did not do. Maybe he left something obvious out of his initial statement? I have no idea on him.

So in other words, you can’t show me any sort of statement where the mayor ordered this police chief to fire him. Thanks
If you honestly think she didn't in private, you are naive.

it's pretty much common knowledge she hated Carl Dabadie and she definitely wanted Salamoni fired and most likely Lake too

the fact that many many people here said this video changed their minds about the officer being fired does hold some substance. Some of these are your usual comply or die folks who have changed their mind after seeing how the officer rolled up on the situation and threatened to blow this guy’s brains out within five seconds.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, although some people's matter less to me than others. Broome Stick just left BR taxpayers open to civil lawsuits that it cannot win.

Oddly enough it changed my perception of both cops. One of the cops appears to be completely exonerated by the video. Also it's clear that AS did in fact have a gun and that they weren't lying about it.
The only thing that makes sense about disciplining Lake is if he lied on the report.

No, not at all. However, the Federal and State investigations do.

That is absolutely for sure. His firing seals the deal for a settlement. Bigly. I’m gonna say 1.2 million.

? It seems like Alton Sterling and Salamoni did that. We shouldn't be against releasing videos like this even if it works against us. Transparency is important.

I never said they shouldn't have released the videos. It should of happened a long time ago. What I was referring to is the fact that Blane and his attorney will now sue Br, BRPD, Broome and quite a few others and will win some amount of money which will end up being paid for by the BR taxpayers.
In the same sense, the family of AS will probably also sue BR and the BRPD and Blane as well. I just hope when that happens that Blane doesn't have to give them a dime or that the judge takes into account the $800+k the family got via GoFundMe
