Nowhere in this thread is there any sort of factual statement, link, or video that shows that the mayor ordered him to be fired. Yes the mayor did call for an investigation.

Are you fricking kidding me? It was one of her campaign promises when running for Mayor and she said it after the AG's announcement. Please get more informed.

If you don't think the AS situation came up during the interview process and that she directly hired Chief Paul because of it then you are very very naive.

Wrong. She did not promise to fire him. She promised an investigation. There is no link or statement showing that she ordered the chief to “fire” him. There is a difference in calling for an investigation and ordering a firing.

How about we link you to the body cam video so you can get your facts straight? Like the fact that Salamoni didn't tell officers not to check on Sterling's condition, like you claimed.

I don’t doubt that it came up at all. However there is no information that stated she told him to fire the officer.

She said she wanted them fired even though she hadn't seen the video. She also promised a national police chief search and that didn't happen. She also said she was gonna fire the police chief which didn't happen until he decided to retire. Get informed and come back.

How about you not change the subject to avoid the question? I stand corrected on that. The officer went to cuff him and he told the officer F it let him be. Now, please show me information that says the mayor ordered the chief to fire him. You know what? You can’t.

She basically forced Dabadie to resign when he wouldn’t fire them before ANY of the investigations were complete
She handpicked a puppet to get what she wanted
If I were either cops lawyer I’d file suit against her & Paul just to get them on a lie detector & ask if this was decided before Paul was given the job

I would imagine on Monday morning Blane's attorney will have a lawsuit filed for Broome Stick, Paul, City of Baton Rouge, BRPD and probably a suit to the AS family too. I would also add Gravy, Silky Slimeball, etc.
If not on Monday then after the period for review board or after the AS family sues him.

So, it looks like right after the shooting, Lake goes up to AS and pulls a pistol out of AS's pocket and places it on the hood of the car. I guess it's safe to say they didn't plant a gun on AS.
I looked at these videos again and honestly am baffled as to what Lake did wrong. From watching the video Salamoni was looking for action, but Lake seemed like he was all about de-escalation and just tried to do the best with the cards he was dealt once it started going down.
