I think our only option is to reduce ours further. It's the only right answer.

I agree. I have been on NATO floats and the only forces that have a clue are us and the British. The rest are just for show.

Darth, if the goat frickers can make our lives miserable in the dessert how hard do you think it would be to keep Poland, Germany, etc.? Maybe the Ruskies take over Latvia and some of those other border countries, but its laughable to think that long term the Russians could hold a legitimate Western European country. I don't see the Germans, Austrians, Hungarians, or even French allowing someone else to govern them long term.
Furthermore, what is their play and why do they want Europe? I'm not convinced modern Russians want to rule the world. Do they want to live somewhere else? Get out of the cold? Turn Paris into the Russian Capital? Whats the end game? I simply don't see one.
Russia could afford to start a war, but there is absolutely no way they could maintain a way. The USA would be bombing their home country and citizens, while the USA would be rebuilding our infrastructure.
Frankly, I'd say let them try it. Then we can just take over Russian when they fall apart in a year or 3.

Well to be fair it was the politicians who made things harder for us, but that's beside the point.
