Hearing rumors here in MS that walmarts from Louisiana towns that border the river are selling out of lifejackets? I now that its suppose to get high but I don't remember hearing about this when it got high a few years ago.

Yeah bro, shits going down. I could only get a styrofoam ice chest but it's better than drowning

If that fricker breaks, there won't be anything above water between Monroe and Vicksburg.

I can assure you that a disturbing amount of people that live next to the river in some areas can't swim to save their lives.

At least having them in life jackets will help find the bodies if the levees break.

Sure, the lifejacket will save you from drowning, but what about when you impact large debris? Now, you're just a dead person that won't sink.

It's been a hundred years since coonasses used to blow up levees in MS. Surprised people still worry about that.

Just the product of actions of stupid people.

If you think you're in need of a life jacket to save you, best just go somewhere far far from the river.

Also, stay there.

That's just a fact, Jack. Even crazier is that a bunch of dudes that work ON THE RIVER can't swim a lick. And most of the time a life jacket isn't going to save you anyway if you fall in.

Get sucked under a 200' barge and you likely aren't coming out breathing on the other end regardless.

Similar to the hurricane preppers. You really think boarding up the windows on your stilt house is the best use of your time?
