Nah goes way further back than that. Everyone has a bit of their own logic behind it and it may not be symmetrical, but a Ronnie is a trashy white dude. Ronnie, Jimmy, and Buddy sort of transformed into Chad, Kyle, and Todd.

Naw baw. Ronnie is from New Orleans born and bred. He bleeds black and gold, and you can always find him at allegro on game day pounding $15 Red Bull and vodka’s. He loves buying bottles at the metro and apres lounge, and shed a tear when ampersand closed.

WTF is a Chad?
A Chad who is aggressively obnoxious and/or extra douchey is a Ronnie. A Ronnie tends to have even less self-awareness than a Chad. I don't think Chads go looking for fights, although they are known to check knuckles often, but the typical Ronnie is predisposed to throw down at the smallest perceived slight.
I submit that any sizable gathering of Chads will have a subset of Ronnies, the percentage of the whole representing a mathematical constant appearing in nature. It's unlikely you will find a baw in a group of Chads, because they come from different places. Baws tend to stick with their own kind.
The foregoing is my anecdotal analysis and has not been subjected to peer review.

So baw was overweight/heavy at one point in youth and now compensates? I get it. But you can have a great body and still rock normal clothes. Normal meaning not female boots and capris.
