"All that comes at a cost. Rivian vehicles sell for over $80,000 on average. Yet they’re so expensive to build that in the second quarter the company lost $33,000 on every one it sold. That’s roughly the starting price of a base model Ford F-150."

will they survive?

Government to the rescue to the tune of $50K per Rivian truck sold!

Amazon will end up owning Rivian outright if the losses get too big. They have a lot of plans with Rivian for the future

This strikes me as a very misleading comment.

My next door neighbor has one of their trucks. He’s always been an odd bird so it’s fitting he’d buy such an odd looking truck.

I watched a youtube video review of one of the Amazon/Rivian delivery vans. It looked to be well done.

I hope so.

I really like the look of their trucks.

Check out the used car market. People are dumping them in droves.

If Tesla just brought a normal, rivian style truck to market years ago they would be dominating that space.

The cybertruck was a real whiff. May not matter in the end, but tesla definitely left the door ajar in the electric truck market.
