Clowns was bought by Southern Delights. If memory serves me right they worked out of the original stand for a few months but the land lord and the tenants of the shopping center never liked them in the parking lot. So there was a push to move the stand elsewhere.

Mr Mark from Poboy Factory told me he had to constantly address the issue of clowns customers coming in to escape the heat to eat their snowballs in his already very small restaurant... they usually had no intention of ordering from his menu. Spilled/stained table tops and floors. Used big quantities of his napkins. Etc. etc.

The clowns stand’s lease was up and the land lord offered them a deal on the unit they moved into. Which freed up some parking and visibility of signage/frontage for the tenants.

At least that’s what I was told... I haven’t been to SouthernDelights since they moved to their new digs. But AC when waiting for a snowball can’t be a bad thing. My diet ends in 3 weeks after a swim meet. So I’ll celebrate with a shrimp poboy, onion rings, maybe some fried pickles, and hit up the snowball joint on the way out.
